About the course The predictability of a successful orthodontic treatment is important for both patients and orthodontists. Documented treatment outcomes in the literature may be an excellent way to help predict specific patient outcomes, and, from a theoretical point of view, an evidence-based approach should make our aligner treatment more predictable. Unfortunately, the scarce evidence available still makes our clinical activity an experience-based practice. The key successful factors for an aligner treatment are a sound diagnosis and treatment plan, the proper knowledge of the digital workflow and the understanding of the peculiar biomechanics delivered by plastic materials. This course will focus on the integration of aligners in everyday clinical practice, in consideration of the absolute indications and the limitations to overcome. |
